Medical Staff

AMREF Flying Doctors medical staff are exceptionally qualified and skilled at providing emergency and primary health care on board aircraft and in remote areas. Ongoing professional development is a high priority for AMREF and medical staff frequently undergo training in intensive care medicine. All staff are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support.

Aviation Staff

AMREF Flying Doctors’ pilots have extensive experience in navigating the difficult terrain and airstrips that characterise the East African landscape. AMREF’s highly skilled engineering team ensure that all AMREF aircraft are safe, well maintained and ready to fly. All aircraft are routinely and thoroughly checked, and engineers complete detailed overhauls based on the manufacturer’s recommendations.
